First Day of Vaca

Well I have officially started my summer vacation. Jeremy and I (mostly I) decided to paint the entryway and it is quite an undertaking! So today I was in charge of painting a few walls...yup all by myself! The color we picked is called Raffia and it is a real light sunshiny yellow. The first coat is on, and the color makes me HAPPY!
Hope my painting ability makes him happy!

I also spent some time outside just enjoying the fact that I was not at school! Looking forward to many more lazy days to come!

My Latest Work

This is my latest masterpiece...or at least piece of something... from my Monday night art class. It actually is one of my favorites. It is the first still life I have done. Usually we work on landscapes, and Oh the trees in those are a nightmare!!! So I enjoyed this piece, and it looks even better framed!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

On Thursday I met Melissa and Hayden at Hacienda to celebrate her birthday. We don't get to see each other a lot, but what I have noticed A LOT recently is that we are there for one another when it counts. She juggles being a wife, mother, teacher, AND a friend. From my vantage point she does all effortlessly. (I know she would disagree but this is my blog so HA!) That is what makes her a fantastic friend. She has so much going on in her life, but she has NEVER been too busy to make me feel important. She has gone out of her way for me this past year without even knowing it. She has made me a priority in her life in the midst of all she has going on. For that I am truly grateful!

It is because of Melissa that I have been reminded of how far I have come and how strong I truly am. She has taught me the meaning of friendship and the importance of putting others before myself and my problems. Melissa is what a true friend should be like. I hope that I can repay her friendship with my friendship. Celebrating her birthday with her was a true pleasure. Happy Birthday Melissa and thank you!

Mother's Day

Today I went and spent the afternoon with my mom to celebrate that she is my MOM! We couldnt quite decide what to do today, so she decided to just eat at home and make wonderful food (typical mom!) Dad made steaks on the grill and for dessert we had cheesecake! My mother is an amzing person and it would take me years to think of all the things she has taught me and supported me through. Since I have limited space here is what counts the most... She Is...

I'm Back

I was informed by a FRIEND of mine that I Was taken off her FAVORITE list because I no longer blog! Well that was unacceptable...so I am here to say I"M BACK. Looking at her page, I saw it was merely a ploy..I'm still on her list. At any rate, it worked. Stay tuned for more information!
